Hott stuff

I took a pre reno video tour. I'll do pictures and maybe a post when it's done. I'll even upload the video I did soon onto the Youtube.

And, now, I will insert a hammer into my wall.

So, earlier this year anitra lamented the fact that our master bathroom, well, just plain sucks.

I set about trying to find a good way to fix this problem. I schemed to have her go visit her dad and friends out where she used to live and take the kid, with the understanding that I had to work, and then completely gut and renovate the bathroom while she was gone.

It turned out it wouldn't work, as Claire had a dr appt on the 30th, so I came clean and told Anitra about my plan.

After some hemming and hawwing, and some back and forth, and some cancelling and uncancelling, the project is officially (super officially after dropping large quantities of cash at the Depot over the weekend for fixtures) going forward.

I'm going to be starting Sunday and working on it more or less through Thursday.

If you have time and desire, please stop by and help out. Most of it is a third hand and a sanity checker. Most of what needs to be done, I can do, so I'm not desperate for skilled labor, necessarily, but I will need (and take) a hand if there is a hand to be offered.

Edit: quish made me aware I wasn't too clear. As I said in my comment to her, I'm basically tearing down and rebuilding the entire bathroom, including plumbing and electrical. I've done a little bit of both before. If you want to learn how to do it, I can show you too. I'm obviously not a pro, but I can do it.

Anyone who says something assinine and/or extremely rude and then comments "Sorry, it had to be said" deserves a punch.
